Child abuse and neglect are major concerns in the United States. Early intervention for the children and adolescents as well as extra support for parents is greatly needed. Crittenton Services for Children and Families has been supporting children, adolescents, and parents for many years and wants to continue to outreach into the community with the Nurturing Parenting Program. The program is evidence based and provides support, education and skills to parents to help with child development. The purpose of this project was to identify a funding source and write a grant proposal in order to gain funding for the Nurturing Parenting Program. A thorough review of the literature was conducted to substantiate the need for the program. Actual submission and/or funding of this grant was not required for successful completion of this thesis.
