by Rue, Robin R., M.S.W., California State University, Long Beach, 2011, 96; 1499208
Abstract (Summary)

The purpose of this project was to write a grant for funding of the Seeds of Renewal project at the Coalition to Abolish Slavery and Trafficking (CAST) shelter. This project will be implemented by a Master in Social Work (MSW), who will use intensive case management along with brief solution-focused therapy to assist the survivors of human trafficking into a self-sustainable lifestyle. This service will help clients use self-determination to guide them through the transition from victim to survivor, After an extensive search of funding sources, the Bank of the West was selected for their dedication to crisis shelters, mental health, and the city of Los Angeles. The actual submission and/or funding of this grant was not a requirement for the successful completion of this project.
