Abstract (Summary)

This quantitative study explored suicide among Latino adolescents. The study explored depression, gender differences and alcohol use among the risk factors associated with suicide among Latino youth.

The study revealed that depression is a contributing risk factor to suicide and how when coupled with alcohol, suicide rates increase. In addition, the study examined gender differences which demonstrated the highest risk of suicide ideation and attempts to occur among females.
