Dissertation/Thesis Abstract

Remediating the documentary
by Newman, William F., M.A., Northern Illinois University, 2010, 97; 1488435
Abstract (Summary)

New media technologies mark another stage of evolution for the moving image. The ubiquity of the Internet and its associated hyperlinking capabilities introduced interactive possibilities for storytelling, but interactive fiction has not become popular. New media technologies and concepts may be more applicable to nonfiction storytelling, and documentary film may be the moving image form to dominate the new mediascape.
