The purpose of this project was to design a program, identify potential funding sources, and write a grant to help fund the expansion of the services of the Growing Up Safe program. The Growing Up Safe program is a child sexual abuse prevention program that educates students, their parents and school staff on child sexual abuse prevention in the city of Whittier, California. A search for potential funding sources via a grant database resulted in the selection of the Mazda Foundation as the best potential funding source for this project. A grant was then written to support the Growing Up Safe Program.
