This project report examines the process of approaching the character of Soran Saleen in Deborah Brevoort's, The Poetry of Pizza, as presented by California Repertory Company at the Queen Mary's Royal Theatre, February 19 to March 13, 2010.
My goal is to demonstrate how intensive dramaturgical research combined with textual clues from the script helped on the creation 'of the character. I intend to show how the actor can bridge the similarities and the differences between himself and his character by applying dramaturgical research and information from the script in the creation of a role.
