Abstract (Summary)

This study is a policy analysis of the Washington State Death With Dignity Act, which allows terminally ill individuals to self-administer medication to end their lives. This Act promotes self-determination and provides individuals with control in how they end their life.

The policy analysis utilized primary and secondary data such as academic journals, government documents, books, and information from the World Wide Web to examine the Washington Death With Dignity Act. The analysis is presented using David Gil's framework.
