The purpose of this study was to design a program to support and increase communication between parents and children regarding sexual health and behavior. This required identifying potential funding sources and writing a grant to fund the program at John C. Fremont High School. The 16-week program is designed to provide educational and support services to parents and children regarding communication, contraceptives, sexually transmitted diseases, and the risks associated with teen pregnancy. Implications for social work are also discussed.
