The purpose of this project was to design a program, identify funding sources, and write a grant to fund a bullying prevention program to reduce the rates of bullying at Linwood E. Howe Elementary School, located in Culver City, California. The grant was written according to empirically-supported components of successful bullying prevention programs and in collaboration with Linwood E. Howe Elementary school. The proposed program consist of child, staff, and parent education, counseling, and the implementation of a peer support program. The program aims at creating a caring and respectful school environment that promotes prosocial behavior, thus challenging the norms that support bullying.
