The purpose of this project was to design a program, identify potential funding sources, and write a grant to fund a prevention program to reduce the rates of delinquent behaviors among Latino youth in the city of Bell Gardens and surrounding cities. To design a best-practice program, the grant writer conducted an extensive literature review and increased knowledge about the issue of delinquent behaviors. Then, a search for potential funding sources via the interne and a grant database resulted in the selection of Title V Community Prevention Grants Program, as the best funding source for this project. Lastly, a grant was written to support project "Unidad" a delinquency prevention program in the city of Bell Gardens.
