by Slotterback, David, M.S.W., California State University, Long Beach, 2010, 60; 1486441
Abstract (Summary)

The purpose of this thesis project was to write a grant to procure funding for a parent partner program in Marin County, California. This program is known as the Parent Partner Program and Organization (3P-O). The goal of 3P-O is to support the parent in successfully reunifying with a child once that child has been separated from his/her family due to allegations of abuse and/or neglect. Enhancing parent engagement and assisting the parent in effectively navigating the child welfare system may best be accomplished through mentoring from a parent who has successfully navigated that system. The Annie E. Casey Foundation is the fonder chosen for submission of this grant. The actual submission of the proposal to the finder was not a requirement of this project.
