Through the Trees is a collection of fifteen short stories that range from realistic to magical. It explores emotional and physical vulnerability, the fragility of bodies, the violence that lies just below our ideas of status quo, and the power and danger of being a woman. The collection oscillates between the real and the magical so that magic infuses the real and the real validates the magical.
