The purpose of this project was to create a plan for the establishment of a financial counseling center on the campus of California State University, Long Beach. The center would serve students on the matters of personal financial counseling, money management education and financial information.
College students are not well prepared or educated to manage the debt loads they are effortlessly acquiring. The most logical place to assist with financial education and money management skills is through a financial counseling and information resource center on campus.
This project verifies and justifies the need for a financial counseling center at California State University, Long Beach. In order to establish such a center, recommendations for the location, operations, funding and marketing of such a center are also included.
