by Parker, Susan L., M.S.W., California State University, Long Beach, 2009, 63; 1466297
Abstract (Summary)

The purpose of this project was to examine one woman's experience with an unplanned pregnancy and the very difficult decisions she had to make as she struggled with the knowledge of the importance of her mother's traditional belief system and choosing to end another pregnancy through abortion. The narrative reveals how the author received abundant love and support from her mother, which proved to be the foundation for the author's pursuit of higher education. Also discussed is how the author overcame various obstacles. The narrative describes how the author's experiences helped her understand the seriousness of the National Association of Social Workers Code of Ethics.
