The purpose of this project was to design a program, identify potential funding sources, and write a grant to fund a pregnant and parenting adolescent program. The purpose of the program is aimed to improve the quality of life and community resources for pregnant and parenting adolescents. An extensive literature review was conducted to increase the knowledge, prevalence and causes of early adolescent pregnancy. A search for potential funding sources resulted in the selection of Kaiser Permanente, a not-for-profit organization, as the best funding source for this project. The actual submission and/or funding of this grant was not a requirement for the successful completion of this grant project. A grant was then written to support a pregnancy prevention program.
