Abstract (Summary)

In this dissertation, a precision measurement of the W boson mass in Weν decays with 1 fb–1 of collider data collected between 2002 and 2006 at DØ is presented. In the standard model, the mass of W boson (MW) can be used to make constraints on the Higgs boson mass in conjunction with the top quark mass. The electron energy has been measured with a precision of 0.05%. The measured W boson mass is 80.401 ± 0.043 GeV.
