Abstract (Summary)

In order to go and make disciples of Jesus, one must know what it means to be a disciple and then become a disciple first. This project will focus on developing both the picture of discipleship and the process of becoming a disciple-maker for members of Life Bridge Christian Church of Valparaiso, Indiana. The picture of Christ-following discipleship in this project is called "A Garden Walk." The process of becoming a Christ-follower and making more disciples is called "The Path of Life."

The project will develop both the picture and process with Scripture as the primary guide with scholarly interaction throughout. The Preface provides the local contextual challenges and reasons for the project and its approach. The Introduction broadens the scope worldwide to show how following The Path of Life toward A Garden Walk can be helpful to any Christ-follower who wants to walk together with God and go and make disciples of all nations. Part I introduces the picture of walking together with God as a Christ-follower. Part II offers the discipleship path to use in helping a person walk with together God and build new disciple-making disciples. The Conclusion offers some final thoughts and early results of communicating this picture and implementing this path at Life Bridge Christian Church of Valparaiso, Indiana.
