Data Discoverer: CCPA Compliance and Database Explorer Tool for LendUp Internal Use
by Merz, Camille Cherie, M.A., Mills College, 2020, 38; 27963923
Abstract (Summary)

Companies’ use of their customers’ personal data is becoming regulated. Data breaches, identity theft and targeted advertising have made consumers concerned with how their personal data is handled. Technology companies around the world are looking to buy, sell and create solutions to the compliance issues that these regulations have created. Data Discoverer, presented in this thesis, is one such solution. Making use of a Spring Boot REST API and React user interface, Data Discoverer allows technical and non-technical internal employees to explore and catalog potentially highly regulated personal data.
