This paper reports on the results of an action inquiry project that aimed to promote coaching for positive action within an organization. Eleven participants met five times over a three-month time span. The participants learned coaching techniques and applied them by coaching each other first; then practiced coaching others outside the inquiry group with an intention to empower them toward positive actions. In addition to the coaching techniques, participants learned about Appreciative Inquiry and integrated this methodology into their coaching practices.
