by Nankani, Bindia, M.S., California State University, Long Beach, 2019, 63; 22583305
Abstract (Summary)

Women are challenged with balancing careers, families and their own health and wellbeing. Despite this challenge, current platforms for healthcare have not made it easy for women to access basic health services. Barriers to accessing health care include taking time from work, obtaining basic child care, and lack of transportation. Well Woman seeks to address these challenges by providing women’s health services to their homes from licensed specialists. Basic services include reproductive counseling, prenatal visits, and lab testing. Well Woman is a proprietary service and the first of its kind to combine women’s health services with the home health model. The goal is to deliver essential health services to reduce overutilization and expenditures while offering women comfort and convenience. Well Woman strives to support the busy lifestyles of women everywhere and endeavors to become a leading provider of women’s health services.
