Imaginary includes the first seven chapters of a novel by the same title. It chronicles the story of Jim Higgins, an 18-year-old young man. At the beginning of the novel, Jim is enrolled at his local community college and works at Amy’s Orchard, a grocery store near his home. Jim is befriended by his coworker, Will Decker, who encourages Jim to be more outgoing and social. When Decker leaves Amy’s Orchard to begin an internship at Thoughtscape, a technology engineering company, Jim begins to reconsider his educational and career path. Imaginary follows Jim’s journey into adulthood and is a story about friendship, loss, and the burden of responsibility.
