On Some Geometric and Algebraic Properties of The Holm Elliptic Curves

Abstract (Summary)

Following the directions given in [4] for the Weierstras model

y2=x3+Ax+B,

we study the case of Holm model 

y3-y=λ(x3-x).

Geometric and algebraic properties are explored with the goal of laying a background to prove results on

i) The degree of an endomorphism

ii) The separability of an endomorphism.

Although the directions to follow are the same as in the case of the Weierstrass model, the proofs are different and more involved because of the nature of the Holm model.

The main theorems concerning endomorphisms of the Holm model are obtained.
