by Infante, Scott Wayne, Ed.D., Trevecca Nazarene University, 2018, 164; 10937808
Abstract (Summary)

“Internet pornography has become the ‘crack cocaine’ of pornography among males in this generation and as such presents a danger of epic proportions to the health and well-being of the adolescents and men who have been embroiled in pornography addiction. This systematic review of the literature explored the psychological, physiological, and spiritual effects of pornography on males. Much of the research in this area correlates pornography use with a plethora variables making it a cumbersome and arduous task for researchers to understand pornography’s impact on various populations of men academia or religious contexts. This systematic review attempts to make this broad arena of literature more relevant in specific to examining the psychological, physiological, and spiritual effects on pornography on men.”
