Abstract (Summary)

This thesis presents results of the measurements of the branching fraction of the decays D0 → π π+ π0 and D0 → K K+ π0 from a sample of 91fb−1 data collected by the BABAR detector at the PEP-II asymmetric-energy B Factory at SLAC. We find B(D0 → π π+ π0 ) / B(D0 → K π+ π0)   =   9.78  ±  0.08  ±  0.27 % and B(D0 → K K+ π0 ) / B(D0 → K π+ π0)   =   2.08  ±  0.04  ±  0.08%. These can be compared to the current world average values (PDG 2003) of B(D0 → π π+ π0) / B(D0 → K π+ π0)   =   8.40  ±  3.11% and B(D0 → K K+ π0) / B(D0 → K π+ π0)   =   0.92  ±  0.31%.
