An Integrated Development Environment for the Clara Constraint-Programming Language

Abstract (Summary)

Formatting and syntactical errors make code incorrect and double the effort required by the programmers when programming. Integrated Development Environment (IDE) helps them to overcome these errors and reduce their effort. IDEs have features of keyword coloring and autocorrect that provide real-time help with syntaxes and formatting. They also assist in structuring code files in proper packages and folders for accessibility. This project is about building one such IDE called ClaraIDE for Clara constraint-programming language. This report will cover different software design and development techniques that were used to build ClaraIDE. ClaraIDE is developed using Qt, a C++ based programming language. Programming in Clara is easy and interactive with the use of ClaraIDE. The testing and performance results prove it to be better than other IDEs like Eclipse and Sublime Text.
