An Ordering: A Collection of Poems and an Essay Exploring Cultural Entomology in the Work of William Wordsworth, Gerard Manley Hopkins, and John Clare
by Ferguson, Sara Beth, Ph.D., University of Louisiana at Lafayette, 2016, 191; 10163294
Abstract (Summary)

An Ordering is composed of two components: the first section is an essay that explores manifestations of Cultural Entomology in the works of the nineteenth-century ecopoets William Wordsworth, Gerard Manley Hopkins, and John Clare; the second section is a creative manuscript of original poems and mixed media that examines the theme of dispossession from the modern rural landscape and questions the human impulse to impose order on the powerful and ever-mutable natural environment.
