Abstract (Summary)

As new and innovative technologies continue to change the way health care providers deliver health care to patients, the use of telemedicine is another method of utilizing technology to remove some of the barriers to access of specialty health care for patients in rural and underserved areas. The purpose of TeleBridge Health Clinic is to provide greater access to specialty care by connecting remote patients to specialized physicians without the hassle barriers of travel and time. By having a centralized hub, which specialist physicians utilize to connect to patients at a distant geographic location, the goal is to improve patient satisfaction and patient outcomes for an underserved area of Southern California. This business proposal will demonstrate how TeleBridge Health Clinic will bridge specialty care physicians with the patients who lack access to specialty care providers due to the barriers of distance and time.
