by Bol Melgar, Bryan S., M.S., California State University, Long Beach, 2016, 58; 10141522
Abstract (Summary)

Concierge medicine describes a relationship between primary care physicians and their patients in which patients pay an annual fee or a retainer for exclusive access to primary care services. In exchange for this fee the physician caps the number of patients under their care. Tailored Medical Services intends to take advantage of this Market by opening its doors in Yorba Linda, California. The demographic of Yorba Linda suits concierge medicine perfectly. In 2010 the average age of the residents of Yorba Linda, California was 41.7-years with a median household income of $112,259. Tailored Medical Services will open in May of 2016 and will cap its membership at 1000 patients.
