Abstract (Summary)

This project, “Revisit, Rewrite, Record” is the demonstration of techniques learned in the Commercial Music M.M. program at CSULA including orchestration, arranging, recording, music technology and composition. The orchestration and arranging techniques of six pop classic records are examined and transcribed, and key elements and techniques are utilized in new arrangements and recordings of three additional songs.
