Dormant Oracle is a palimpsest recording poetry written during my tenure as a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing student at CSU Long Beach. The methodology introduces the poets, scholars, theorists, and social context which inform my poetics and aesthetic, and chronicles my experimentation with paradox, language, meter, lyricism, and image. The appendix contains poems that reveal past and future secrets and with jokes, with lies, with love, with hate; variations on themes within the methodology and poems include social relationships with nature, resistance and social disruption, identity (politics), and family.
