Abstract (Summary)

Among the diverse applications of carbon nanotubes (CNTs), there are plenty of multiphase systemsÆ’x (i.e. systems of more than two components), such as CNTpolymer multiphase composites and CNT based nanofluids. Although some experimental studies have been conducted to study the thermal transport properties of CNT multiphase systems, few computational studies (finite element analysis, molecular dynamics) have been attempted in this field. In view of this, we conducted new computational studies of the thermal transport properties of CNT multiphase systems, and these studies are described in this dissertation.
