The purpose of this project was to write a grant and find a funding source for a preventative dating violence program to be administered at the host agency Mockingjay High School, which is located in LAUSD. The name of the high school has been altered to protect its confidentiality and citations containing the name of the school have been omitted. Adolescents who experience dating violence at a young age can have serious long-term affects. The proposed program will fund the making of a curriculum for a psycho-education group for that would educate adolescents about healthy relationships. The goal of the prevention program is to empower adolescents to seek help if they encounter dating violence and to provide them with resources needed to enhance their quality of life.
The actual submission and/or funding of this grant were not required for the successful completion of this project.
