Caregivers of older adults diagnosed with Alzheimer disease often report feeling high levels of stress, because of the demanding responsibilities. Caregivers who do not seek services or assistance are put at high risk for poor physical and mental health. The purpose of this study was to write a grant proposal for in-home supportive services program for family caregivers of Alzheimer disease patients in the Los Angeles County. The goal of the program is to prevent and reduce caregiving burden by providing services in the caregiver's home. This home-based program will provide AltaMed Health Services an opportunity to enhance the services for family caregivers of individuals with Alzheimer disease. The actual submission and/or funding of the grant proposal was not a requirement for the successful completion of the project.
