The quote "You won't get hired with acne" comes directly from a post found on the acne support and information forum, acne.org, a website with more than 150,000 users and 3,000,000 posts (Kern, n.d.). The sentiment of this post was both echoed and denied in other posts. It perfectly states the basic premise of my research: Is acne a source of applicant bias in the employment interview?
