The purpose of this project was locate a potential funding source and write a grant to fund an evidenced-based program for foster children who are facing challenges in foster care. The goal of this project is to help foster children reduce behavioral problems, enhance social interactions and increase placement stability. The program will work together with foster children and their foster parents to achieve the same goal.
The California Community Foundation was selected as the potential funder due to its commitment to making Los Angeles County a safe, thriving and diverse community. The host agency, Serenity Infant Care Homes, will expand their services to include the Multidimensional Treatment Foster Care for Preschoolers Program. The actual submission and/or funding of this grant were not requirements for the successful completion of this project.
