The purpose of this project was to write a grant proposal to obtain funding for a parent education program for homeless adult pregnant women and single adult female parents, living at the Precious Life Shelter in Los Alamitos, California, ranging from 18 years of age to mid-40s. A literature review was conducted to research the characteristics and parenting skills of homeless pregnant women. The proposed program would enhance their parental skill and give them a foundation for parenting their children. The RGK Foundation was chosen for the proposed grant funding. The actual submission or funding of this grant proposal was not a requirement for the successful completion of the project.
