The purpose of this project was to design a program, write a grant, and identify potential funders to fund a new program for Parkview on the Park. This proposed program provides group money management classes, including an assessment, case management, and one-on-one assistance with grocery shopping, banking, and any other needs within the community. The targeted population is older adults who were formerly homeless with a mental illness. The goals of the proposed money management program at Parkview on the Park are to improve money management skills, maintain stable housing, and improve quality of life. The Weingart Foundation was selected as the most appropriate funding source for this grant proposal. The actual funding and submission of this grant were not requirements for the successful completion of this project.
