by Emerson, Susan A., M.S.W., California State University, Long Beach, 2013, 68; 1523351
Abstract (Summary)

The purpose of this project is to create a program, identify funding sources and write a grant to help children overcome a constellation of unmet needs enabling them to grow into healthy and productive adults. This program will also support the fathers of these children to be a consistent, positive influence and effectively and lovingly parent. An extensive literature review was completed to identify the deficits within these children's lives and solutions to ameliorate their occurrence. A search for potential funding was conducted and produced the Ralph M. Parsons and the Weingart Foundation as the best funding sources for this project. The actual submission and/or funding of this grant was not a requirement for the successful completion of this grant project. The grant was written to support children through reconnection with their incarcerated father.
