by Chavez, Leivi, M.S.W., California State University, Long Beach, 2013, 57; 1523331
Abstract (Summary)

The purpose of this project was to write a grant application to fund a pilot program to assist the Children's Learning Center (CLC) group home in Ventura County, California, to increase the successful reunification rates for foster youth who are under the care of the facility. This project included conducting a thorough literature review, identifying a funding source, and completing a grant application to support a pilot program to provide reunification services for adolescent boys residing in the Children's Learning Center group home, who are between the ages of 13 through 17 years old. This program will also provide supportive services for parents who are participating in the foster youth's treatment. These funds will be used to cover individual expenses occurred by the pilot program such as: office supplies, food, arts and crafts supplies, recreation fees, and incentives. The Weingart Foundation was chosen as the funder. Actual submission and/or funding of this grant were not required for the successful completion of this project.
