The purpose of this project was to identify a potential funding source to provide training of the Triple P-Positive Parenting Program to the Family Project staff (FP) at Home-SAFE (HS). An in depth review of the literature identified the importance of appropriate training of home visitors in order to be successful in child abuse prevention efforts. The goal of this project was to identify an evidence based program that could be used with the staff at HS to better prepare them on working with families at risk of child abuse. The Doris Duke Foundation was identified as a possible funder for this project. The actual submission of the grant was not required for the successful completion of this project.
