Abstract (Summary)

Half-Asked Questions in the Dark is a collection of stories that take place in the Los Angeles area, exploring different neighborhoods and cities. The characters in three of the stories repeat, creating a triptych of life in Southern California for Sadie, the narrator of all three. Major themes include growing up and maturation, family history and relationships, and the meaning of home.
