The purpose of this project was to improve the lives of homeless children by writing a grant to obtain funding for a social worker. The social worker would provide biopsychosocial services to the homeless children in Orange County, California. The social worker would provide these services at Project Hope Alliance School.
A comprehensive literature review was conducted on homeless children in America with a focus on the causes and consequences of homelessness on children in Orange County, California. After an extensive search for potential funders, Western Digital Foundation was chosen as their values and goals were parallel to that of Project Hope Alliance. The actual submission and/or funding for this grant was not a requirement for the successful completion of this project.
