Green's function solution to relativistic Feshbach-Villars wave equations for spin zero particles

Abstract (Summary)

In this thesis we study the Feshbach-Villars equations for spin zero particles. The Feshbach-Villars equations are derived from the Klein-Gordon equation. Unlike the Klein-Gordon equation, the Feshbach-Villars equations appear in Hamiltonian form. This requires a reinterpretation of the Feshbach-Villars wave function which pose challenges for determining numerical solutions which are overcome by calculating the Green's operator in a Coulomb-Sturmian basis.
