The purpose of this project was to identify a funding source and write a grant to fund a pilot program for adolescent dating violence prevention that would be administered by a host agency in Long Beach, California. Adolescents are faced with many adversities, and to experience dating violence can be detrimental. The proposed program consists of hands-on skill building activities, counseling, and resource services for adolescents and families in the community. Funds will be requested to implement the prevention program to increase the knowledge and awareness of dating violence among teenagers to enhance their quality of life.
