Based on an abundance of previous research, this thesis establishes the correlation between student academic success and positive parental involvement in their child’s education. The outcome of this project is a collaboration of programs designed to encourage active adult participation in community high schools by helping counselors and other staff create a welcoming atmosphere for parents and community members to be actively involved with students.
